The Ash and Soil series is an ongoing experimental body of work using gidgea ash and soil from the artists home property near Longreach on the surface of the pots and in the glazes. The series examines connection to place through the use of local materials. Hand built, this pot has dimples for glaze variation and the oxide and soil combine for an interesting surface.

NOT functional, sculptural only, NOT food safe, NOT dishwasher safe. There could be some sharp edges on the crackle glazed surface.
