The Ash and Soil series is an ongoing experimental body of work using gidgea ash and soil from the artists home property near Longreach on the surface of the pots and in the glazes. The series examines connection to place through the use of local materials. This is a hand built pot offering earthy colours and texture from the ash in the glaze.
